The shallow lights along with the absence of all the details kind've make you wonder about why the lights are low and the ettiquette of the people back in that time. I was kind've hesitant because I wasn't sure if I could make it look exactly the same. I came to realize that it doesn't have to look the same. I added and took out some more things throughout the painting. It's the same idea but with a twist. I feel that even if it is a replica your getting something totally new. This is almost finished.steviehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15335925221557319132noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203714053997490305.post-87670725087267010262009-11-16T13:24:00.000-08:002009-11-16T13:28:40.783-08:00english garden<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM3JD8XO3BG4jgVm2Vki-z_6cC7kvgCvl-UaK0X1NmMR2VLw-AwQ0t9ac6anOPxfosK3lrVnisAPAqfP5ywbjQbu95bNo6UlfIpfhC6K7GBeClK__zr5vlIC_1XIAjcyxR9KtPET-wAizO/s400/SDC10874.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404816031259577794" />

I love how I added a creepy tone just by using these colors. I accidentally used a little too much water in the paint making the trees look like they were dripping, and to my surprise I think it looks great. Having them drip makes the painting look bleak and mysterious. I'm still working on the statue owls and the walls. I'm going to make the walls cracked and crumbling. let me know what you guys think.steviehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15335925221557319132noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5203714053997490305.post-12975068898293149392009-11-16T13:17:00.000-08:002009-11-16T13:24:03.173-08:00Colorful love<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCooRPXd_nkQu_WfldGm640jlfBVlam4o0Ghyphenhyphenp2rMkg3gxQH6DAQ1z5P8ZPQmuFW37S964eM_1fdQhNiYoiLzr95KHe_SQV8yPQms7miZoYsDhGq4oAS10raPnMKe2zyXZ1RC9D84kXbTc/s400/SDC10870.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404814728412137666" />

Hummingbirds remind me of my mom, so it's only practical that I would do a little something like this number. I wanted to emphasize on the dark and bright colors being as my mother loved those kind of paintings that I did.
